This just in: the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched a new air purifier series for the global market. Lungs, rejoice.
We all know by now that the air we breathe is of poor quality, to put it mildly. Toxic air pollutants, both visible and invisible, can cause a variety of adverse health outcomes, which can be particularly problematic for folks who happen to suffer from allergies. And this is, give or take, half of the world population (half of our unfortunate staff members included). This is where a quality air purifier comes to the rescue. By reducing the number of harmful particles in the air, this handy little device increases indoor air quality, providing a healthier environment for the whole family.
Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Series Specs
The new air purifier series is made up of three models: the Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite, Smart Air Purifier 4, and Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro.
As expected, we don’t see any departure from the signature sleek Xiaomi design; the new devices fit seamlessly into any modern interior.
The newly launched air purifier series brings some excellent features to the table, the most important being Xiaomi’s High-Efficiency Filter. This impressive piece of technology promises to eliminate 99.97% of particles as tiny as 0.3 microns and it also traps pollen, dust, smoke, dander, cotton fiber, and all the other common pollutants.
The activated carbon Odor elimination ensures lasting freshness and eliminates not-so-pleasant olfactory sensations such as cooking fumes, formaldehyde, toluene, pet odors, etc.

Compared to a conventional HEPA filter, Xiaomi’s High-Efficiency Filter generates less noise and consumes less power, but manages to clean more air volume-wise. Xiaomi also claims that their filter lasts between 6 to 12 months, but that remains to be seen. The remote control is also enabled so you can set the time to turn it on/off, adjust settings, check air quality, and toggle child lock-all via the Xiaomi Home app. The series supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
The Buy
The models in the series come with different price tags, with the Pro being the most expensive and Lite being the cheapest, so there is an option for every budget. With a retail price starting at $199, the only thing left for us to say is shut up and take our money!
