Sennheiser, a German audio-focused company famous for their high-fidelity products including headphones and microphones, has recently launched a new pair of feature-packed noise-canceling earbuds: the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3. The earbuds are the newest member of the Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM family and are marketed as the best wireless earbuds on the market. For a $250 price tag, they better be.

Earbuds Inspired By Sound
The new Sennheiser’s earbuds are clearly packed with features, so they’re not rivaling Apple AirPods Pro, Bose’s QuietComfort, and Sony’s WF-1000XM4 earbuds in price only – they’re genuinely top-of-the-class noise-canceling earbuds.
The MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 comes in a simple but expensive-looking tweed-covered case with a USB-C charging connection and four sets of silicone ear tips, ranging from 10 mm to 15 mm in diameter. This means they should be able to fit pretty much all ear sizes and shapes comfortably. Speaking of comfort, these earbuds are ergonomic so in theory, they should provide all-day comfort. In practice though, it seems that the True Wireless 3 does cause some mild ear fatigue after several hours for some users.
But what about arguably the most important thing – sound quality? This is where the new Sennheiser earbuds shine. With Sennheiser’s Signature Sound, TrueResponse tech, and ANC that automatically adjusts to the environment, the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earbuds provide outstanding and immersive sound with deep bass, detailed highs and natural mids. The Sound Personalization feature is a nice touch too, as it sets up the perfect sound for each user’s individual hearing after a guided listening test. There are also several presets and an equalizer available in the Smart Control App.
Unlike the True Wireless 2, the new-and-improved True Wireless 3 earbuds boast wireless charging. But for this price, we say this is a must-have feature anyway. Battery life is more than decent – seven hours with a full charge, which can be extended to 28 hours using the case.
The Buy
Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 earbuds are currently priced at $249.95. Expensive? Absolutely. Worth it? Well, it depends. If you already own the True Wireless 2, probably not unless you’re specifically looking for improved ANC and better battery life. But if you don’t own the previous model and are looking for top-quality noise-canceling earbuds, then yes, they’re worth it.
