Samsung Galaxy Book
The Samsung Galaxy Book lineup is a pair of ultra-portable computers that promises to deliver maximum productivity anytime, anywhere. It consists of the Flex and Ion that share an identical platform. However, they differ in their intended users.
The Galaxy Book Flex is a hybrid that can transform from a conventional ultra-portable into a road warrior-friendly tablet. It features the S Pen that gives you a powerful drawing and writing experience. Samsung also improved the gesture controls on the Flex for optimum functionality.
The Ion features Samsung’s classic clamshell design. It is one of the slimmest laptops you can ever get. It is only half an inch thick at its thinnest. It is lightweight, too. Samsung used an ultra-light magnesium in the creation of the Ion’s frame.
Both Galaxy Books come with the latest generation of Intel processors. The Ion comes with a 10th generation Comet Lake, while the Flex features a 10th generation Ice Lake. Both are configurable up to 1 TB SSD and 16 GB of RAM. The Ion and Flex also come with AKG stereo speakers, USB-C ports, and Thunderbolt 3 ports.
These Samsung ultra-portable laptops offer a more stunning viewing experience. They are the first laptops to feature a QLED display. This is the same technology that Samsung uses on many of its high-end television sets. Both laptops come with a 1920×1080 FHD resolution. They also feature an Outdoor Mode, complete with a peak brightness setting of 600 nits.
The Flex and the Ion also have the Wireless PowerShare technology. You can close the laptop and place your Qi-enabled device on the closed shell. The PowerShare technology will then recharge your compatible device.
In a market dominated by HP and Dell, Samsung’s Galaxy Book is a breath of fresh air. It is powerful, sleek, and truly mobile.
