A task light provides increased illumination for a specific task, so it’s best when you can position it exactly the way you need it for a particular task. A good task light can help you finish any DIY project more accurately and avoid eye fatigue. And the Prometheus Task Master Mini – the new crazy useful 3D-printed gadget – delivers amazing flexibility that comes in handy in so many situations.
Task Master Mini Specifications
The new fully flexible LED task light boasts some pretty impressive features. These include:
- Voltage: 110V US ONLY
- Magnet: 2″ neodymium cup magnet with rubber boot
- Cord length: 6 feet
- Bulb: SORAA Brilliant 9050 High CRI (110V GU10 base)
- Output: 3000K (warm) @ 600 lumens (90+ CRI)
- Neck: 3/4 Loc-Line
Let’s start with the base. It features a 2.5″ cup magnet with 236 lbs holding force and a non-marring rubber boot. Since it’s magnetic, the Task Master Minilight cannot stand on its own – meaning you need to attach it to a steel surface. When you want to remove it, you need to rock the base sideways because it is impossible to pull it directly off of a surface.
What really makes this little gadget stand out is the small and lightweight head that can be fully extended from the base without drooping. It offers virtually unlimited positioning options making any project so much easier to complete.
Another amazing feature of this work light is the SORAA Brilliant 9050 High CRI bulb. This bulb boasts a max output of 600 lumens of 3000K warm light and 90+ CRI color accuracy. It is guaranteed to provide high-quality lighting for projects that require accuracy and precision, helping you avoid overstraining your eyes even if you work for extended periods of time. Thanks to the innovative SORAA Snap System, you can easily change the beam angle: by default, it is at 10°, but it can be adjusted to 25° or 36°.
The base and bulb socket are designed CAD with Fusion 360 and then printed directly from the 3D model and the purchased parts are all industrial grade. The final product is assembled by hand.
With a price of $295.00, the Task Master Mini does not come cheap, but your eyesight is worth it.
