- Bluetooth 5.3 audio chipset with 100+ feet of range
- ¾ inch tuned dome tweeter for clear high notes
- 4-inch passive subwoofer for low bass notes
- 4-inch calibrated driver for quality audio
- 50-Watt amplifier to fill your outdoor space with loud, quality audio
- USB-C port for wired charging when needed
Studio-Quality Sound In Your Backyard
The Lodge speaker is designed to live outside, meaning it’s completely weatherproof no matter where it is: backyard, garden, pool, it’s all the same to this speaker. It’s also completely wireless so there’s no need to dig in your backyard and lay any cables – this bad boy is solar-powered.
Speaking of, the Lodge is fitted with 180 square inches of solar panels on all four sides that are charging at all times. This allows the speaker to charge in a matter of a few hours, not days. When fully charged, it provides 15 hours of playback so you can enjoy your tunes all day. And if you wish to bring the party inside? No problem, as this wireless speaker also includes a USB-C port for wired charging that should also come in handy when there is no sun outside.
But what about sound quality? Thanks to its construction and powerful specs – a tuned ¾-inch tweeter, a 4-inch tuned passive subwoofer, a 4-inch calibrated driver, and a 50-Watt amplifier – the Lodge offers high-quality sound even over Bluetooth. You can also connect two, three, or more speakers to create a truly immersive soundscape in your outdoor space.
On the downside, the Lodge Solar Speakers don’t work with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or HomeKit. However, the company writes that all three are “on our future product roadmap”.
The Buy
Currently, the Lodge speakers are available on Kickstarter and you can pledge one for 30% less, at $210. Bear in mind that at retail, a single speaker will cost $300, and if you want two, that will be $600.
