Harman Kardon Allure
People trust Harman Kardon when it comes to integrating acoustic technology in their gadgets. And why not? This brand is popular for its innovation in high fidelity audio products. With the new Allure, Harman Kardon is sure to further cement its position as a provider of high-quality audio devices.
The Allure does have a rather bland look, with some folks calling it boring. But what many may not realize is that this wireless Bluetooth speaker comes with a few neat surprises of its own. For starters, it already integrates Alexa in its voice control module.
Streaming beautiful audio, placing an order, and controlling one’s smart home devices are now so much more fun to accomplish. You do not need to lift a finger to make it happen. Alexa will do it for you. Its far-field voice recognition technology allows Alexa to “listen” to your needs from across the room. The other good news is that, with thousands of new Alexa skills in the pipeline, you are looking at a speaker that can do more than follow your commands.
The main issue with wireless speakers is that they often do not last long. While the Allure’s 10-hour runtime is not the shortest, it is also not one of the longest. As a matter of fact, there are other wireless speakers out there that can whip out a playtime of more than 20 hours. Too bad, they do not have Alexa built into their system infrastructure.
Speaking of wireless, the Harman Kardon Allure already features the latest module for Bluetooth wireless connection. This guarantees more stable connection at farther distances. Allure also comes with its own charging cradle, ditching the cumbersome cables in the process.
It’s not spectacular, but the Allure can be an interesting gadget to have in a smart home.
