GameSir is a gaming hardware company that spent the last decade improving gaming experiences. Of particular note are GameSir gaming controllers — mountable controls made specifically for mobile devices.
Whether you’re a savant in the first-person shooter realm or like to stay fast and furious with the latest racing games, more diverse and impressive gaming options are making their way into the world of smartphones and tablets than ever before. As new tech continues to bring an ever-increasing level of detail and sophistication to mobile gaming, the line between traditional console controls and those of their compact, mobile counterparts has melded.
The latest mobile gaming controllers from GameSir give players better control while gaming on mobile devices. The company also offers a diverse range of compatibility to accommodate both Android and iOS devices.
GameSir X2 Bluetooth Mobile Gaming Controller
The X2 Bluetooth affixes to smartphones in a similar setup to a Nintendo Switch, with one controller on each side. The GameSir gaming controller connects by an expandable center section that adjusts to fit phones of varying sizes.
Its previous model, the X2 Type C, was made to enhance gameplay on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Vortex. The earlier version, however, was not compatible with iPhones. The X2 Bluetooth corrects that issue by offering both iOS and Android compatibility.
The X2 controller features a joystick on each side, along with ABXY buttons and a pair of both L and R trigger buttons. And it expands to fit phones up to 6.9 inches (173 mm) in length. About 2 hours of charging will keep the controller powered for about 20 hours of normal use.
GameSir F7 Claw Tablet Gaming Controller
GameSir’s F7 Claw is designed for tablet-based games that are played with on-screen controls. Other tablet controls, many of which feature Bluetooth connectivity, require apps to work properly. The F7 Claw doesn’t.
It adheres to tablets with a suction cup and features additional trigger buttons, along with two more turbo buttons to control burst frequencies of both the left and right triggers. The F7 Claw also has a considerable battery life of up to 120 hours of playing time and 200 hours of standby time from a 2-hour charge.
Availability & Pricing
The X2 Bluetooth is available on Amazon (MSRP $60). The F7 Claw will be available starting May 24, 2021 (MSRP $40).
Both GameSir gaming controllers offer better grips and user interfaces that can make mobile gaming more fun, no matter the platform.
