Futuristic Style, Modern Performance: Angry Miao Cyberblade Earbuds
If you haven’t gathered by now, we love tech here at GearHungry. The world of wireless earbuds has been rapidly developing over the last few years, and we love to see it. Still, few earbuds are truly reinventing the wheel and offering new technology, except for Angry Miao. Angry Miao launched their new Cyberblade earbuds on August 30th, and they sent me a pair to try out ahead of the launch. I fell in love, and I hope you will too. These futuristic earbuds have their own unique style and all-new technology to back it up. Let’s dive in and see what makes these earbuds so outstanding.
Looks and Lights
The box itself was quite decadent. I was shocked by how heavy the box was while unboxing these. The silver finish aligns well with the overall design. In the box are a guide, charger, charging cords, case, and earbuds.
One of the first things that jumps out about these earbuds is the silhouette. The triangular shape is quite the departure from the classic earbud shape. I was quite worried about these being heavy and falling out, but no such occurrence happened. Even though I have small ears and a number of ear piercings (which usually cause issues), I had no problems wearing these earbuds. I love the option to replace the silicone piece that goes in your ear with other size options. I always need the smallest available. My only complaint is that the silicone end of the earbud came off and was still in my ear while trying to remove them once, but I encountered that issue only the one time. I also love the fun color scheme. The charger, earbuds, and case all have LEDs that change color and make for a fun and inviting experience. I love these little details; they help embolden the futuristic design in an engaging way.
New Technology: New Listening Experience
Generally, wireless earbuds are too small and don’t offer enough battery life to bring the music industry’s newest technology to life. So, we end up losing out on higher quality sound and new technology for the sake of convenience. The Cyberblade earbuds add a third chip into the charging case for more powerful audio processing and better sound quality for the user.
One of the most notable features of the Cyberblade buds is the ultra-low latency, which is the delay from the time a sound or action happens on screen until the time you hear it. Wired headphones don’t have any latency, but all wireless earbuds or headphones do, due to the time it takes the involved devices to connect and share data. Featured on the Kickstarter home page is a video comparing the latency of these earbuds to the most recent Apple AirPods. Unsurprisingly, Angry Miao’s latest tech blows its competition out of the water.
Another feature that I love is the ability to switch between devices. I often switch between two computers or my phone depending on what I’m doing, and I love the simplicity of Bluetooth connection and the ability to plug the dock into my computer as well for seamless connectivity.
Lastly, although the battery life isn’t mentioned, it seems extensive. I’ve only had to recharge the earbuds once after owning them for over a month.
The Buy
While these earbuds are perfect for gamers, they are excellent for non-gamers too. Whether you want to lay in bed watching Tiktoks, jam to your favorite tunes, or compete against your friends in an online game, these powerful earbuds can handle it all with ease.
The Cyberblade earbuds are available for purchase on Kickstarter beginning August 30th, 2022. As an early bird special, you can get them for $279 before the price rises to the MSRP of $328. These are some of the best and most technologically advanced earbuds available.
