Tuesday Kirby Kahl is an artist and athlete first. Her painting, writing, and photography are a byproduct of the time spent climbing, skiing, whitewater paddleboarding, and in the mountains. Kirby pursues her passions in the great outdoors to continue her life as an athlete. She translates those experiences into a thoughtful dialogue about the products and services that make those pursuits a reality.
Kirby's early athletic pursuits involved competitive running, swimming, and volleyball. In college, she focused on video production with a specialty in the production of live events. During her time in the film world, she worked as a lead production assistant for the Rotary Lombardi Awards. She attended Lonestar College for three years studying film and supporting herself through school as a nanny and early childhood educator.
After a fight with meningitis in her early 20's Tuesday turned her eyes to the outdoors. This transformative experience did more than convince her to take a yearly camping trip; it was a full-blown life pivot. This change included quitting her job, leaving her partner, and relocating.
Kirby initially focused on solo hiking and backpacking and later found an immense passion for rock climbing. She also fostered a change of eating habits and a newfound love for healthy cooking and spent a brief time as a health coach. She spent four years volunteering at Rawfully Organic Co-op, an organic product co-op based in Houston, Texas.
When she is not outdoors crushing multi-pitches, sport climbs, or boulders (18-pitch alpine routes to 18-foot boulders), she's indoors painting, surrounded by animals, and crafting her skin and hair care products. Beyond painting and writing, Kirby also works as a climbing instructor and coach, focusing on competitive climbers, and has worked as a tech rep and athlete for outdoor brands such as Scarpa, Black Diamond, So iLL, and Joshua Tree Skincare.
