LG V50 ThinQ 5G
While Samsung and Huawei may already have their full-screen folding smartphones, LG is giving the smartphone-crazed world a faster-connecting smartphone – the V50 ThinQ 5G. This is a smartphone that utilizes the latest and the fastest in mobile broadband connectivity.
Whereas most manufacturers still roll out smartphones geared for the 4G LTE platform, LG is looking well ahead. This allows users of the V50 to experience faster download times, increased upload speeds, and reduced network latency. These can all bring a more robust smartphone experience.
There’s one hiccup though. For you to experience the power of the LG V50 ThinQ, you should be in a location that already has the 5G network infrastructure. Otherwise, the most that you can get is still 4G LTE.
As for the device itself, there’s not much in the V50 that other smartphones don’t already have. It is a bit thicker than other flagship phones at 0.33 inches. It comes with an 83% screen to body ratio and a pixel density of 537 ppi. Its 6.4-inch P-OLED screen comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a pixel resolution of 1440×3120. There’s HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
A Snapdragon 855 provides the framework for its 8 Cores of Kryo. You also get a standard 6GB for its RAM plus an internal memory of 128GB with the option to expand it with an external 512 GB.
There are three cameras in the rear, combining for 40 megapixels. These include a 12-megapixel standard, a 12-megapixel telephoto, and a 16-megapixel ultrawide. The front shooter features two camera systems: an 8-MP standard and a 5-MP wide.
The biggest draw of this gadget is the integration of the latest in broadband technology. When combined with its other neat features, this can make for a more exciting and more engaging smartphone experience.
