The prestigious luxury watchmaker Hublot has unveiled a reimagined take on its iconic Big Bang timepiece. And the man we have to thank for the new intriguing timepiece is none other than Samuel Ross, the British multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer.
Ross has been Hublot’s ambassador since 2020, so this collaboration comes as no surprise. What is surprising, however, is how original and stunning the reinterpreted Bing Bang Tourbillon looks.

A Wearable Piece of Art
With an intricate architectural honeycomb structure, the Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross watch is a unique blend of industrial and natural beauty. Considered one of the fundamental building blocks of nature (seen everywhere from beehives to snowflakes), the honeycomb’s structure is both beautiful and utilitarian, which makes for a perfect description of this distinctive watch. The bold orange rubber further emphasizes the innovative and contemporary design.
Samuel Ross’ Big Bang Tourbillon also packs an impressive HUB6035 Manufacture self-winding movement along with three days of power reserve. The watch also features a micro-rotor on the dial side and three sapphire bridges. Interestingly, there are no mechanical parts underneath the rear sapphire crystal, a reflection of Ross’ love of minimalism, no doubt. You can, quite literally, see through the watch.
Unsurprisingly, this lean, striking hexagonal timepiece is also very light, so much so, that it feels like an athletic watch. It looks and almost feels like a wearable piece of art. Can you tell we’re a tiny bit in love with Ross’ Big Bang Tourbillon yet?
