A cross between a Vespa and a Segway, Scrooser looks to be the amongst the first socially acceptable alternative urban transport vehicles. With powertrain components small enough to pass undetected (where’s the battery? the motor? they’re actually in the footboard and rear wheel, respectively), Scrooser drives just like a scooter but on ultra-fat wheels, and attains speeds of up to 15mph while sipping energy – a single charge of the li-ion battery can net a range of up to 22 miles. Else, Scrooser weighs just 61 lbs, features a hydraulic front disk brake and internal rear motor brake, integrated front and back LEDs, a double kickstand, and an ignition lock plus integrated steel cable lock under the seat for security.
