Barnes & Noble’s Nook 7″ HD and 9″ HD+ feature high resolution screens (1440 x 900 and 1920 x 1280, respectively) with impressive pixel density in the 250 ppi range, some of the highest amongst modern tablets (just a sliver behind iPad 3). The tablets run on a custom Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS and pack a 1.3ghz dual-core OMAP processor, 1GB RAM, 16 to 32GB of on-board storage and price tags that put them real high on our list.
