As gadget chargers progressively shift away from wall outlets towards USB, your laptop’s USB outlets, like ours, are probably getting a little overwhelmed. The USB power strip is just that: a miniature 4-port surge protector, minus the actual protection from power spikes seeing as it’s fed by your computer. OK, maybe it’s just a better looking USB hub with an on-off switch, but that’s good enough for us.
