Bodum Pebo Vacuum Coffee Maker

Bodum’s Pebo may not be the most straightforward coffee maker to operate but it more than makes up for it with the taste of the resulting coffee, not to mention its good looks. The brewing process itself doesn’t disappoint, either: boiling water in the bottom jug rises to mix in with the coffee, and, with the head source removed, a vacuum forms in the bottom jug, pulling the rich brew back down through the filter (watch it happen here). And when you’re done, just pop it in the dishwasher.

Get it at Bodum - 80$. [source]

  1. A few years back, they made an electric countertop version. It made the same great tasting coffee and it never failed to impress any visitors. They stopped making it because the thing just didn’t last more than a couple of years. I’d still buy them if they still made’m though.
