Ski boots were never pleasant: the best thing about them is the feeling of blood rushing back into your legs when you finally take them off. Moving around with a pair on isn’t a walk in the park either.

Freemotion Ski Boots aim to change that by giving you, well, what their name promises. A lacing system allows for soft boot characteristics for mobility but locks back the heel when tightened.

Unfortunately they’re not available in North America yet (Austria only for now) but at least we know they exist and they’re coming – eventually. Check out their website for more info, though good luck understanding it – 520$.
