Laptop docks are not a new concept by any means, although their use is far from widespread. With the emergence of ultraportable laptops in the past few years and the general move from desktops to laptop-only use, such docks are increasingly useful.

The LandingZone docking station is by far the most elegantly designed dock we’ve seen to date. It’s a niche product, compatible only with the 2010 or later MacBook Air (2 flavours to accommodate both sizes) and that outputs 4 USB ports, MiniDisplay, ethernet, and takes care of powering your precious Air. This expands on the Air’s actual ports and facilitates connecting all peripherals (external display, MagSafe, USB devices) with a single switch to dock it.
