Kingston DataTraveller HyperX
Long gone are the days of floppy drives and the DataTraveller HyperX will put just a few more nails in its figurative coffin. Available in sizes of 64, 128 and 256GB, these USB sticks are basically SSDs in disguise (in more ways than one). Plugging one in to a USB 2.0 port would be an insult to its blistering performance: up to 225MB/s transfer rates over USB 3.0 (about 8 times faster than when used with USB 2.0).
Check out Kingston’s website for where to buy one. You’ll however be paying SSD prices for these bad boys: 64GB – 140$, 128GB – 280$, 256GB – TBD$.
